Kupwara Police Nabs Lady drug peddler, recover contraband substance

Kupwara, 16 Jan: Continuing its drive against the menace of drugs, Police in Kupwara arrested lady drug peddler.

According to the statement, Police said that During a naka/checking operation near Magray Mohalla, Gulgam area of Kupwara,  Kupwara Police  intercepted a vehicle bearing registration number JK09C-1178.

A suspicious lady passenger was apprehended after the driver and two other occupants fled from the spot along with the vehicle.

During search, 2.3 kg of heroin-like contraband substance was recovered from her possession.

Accordingly  FIR No. 13/2026 under Sections 8/21/29 of the NDPS Act has been registered at Police Station Kupwara, and investigation is underway to trace the absconding accused and dismantle the entire supply chain.
