The DC highlighted that all major and minor roads are being cleared and will be maintained in operational condition through continuous snow removal efforts.

During the review, emphasis was placed on prioritizing snow clearance to minimize inconvenience to the public. Special attention has been devoted to roads leading to critical installations and public utility areas, including the Sub District Hospital Kupwara, District Hospital  Handwara, Bus Stand, main market areas, and inner lanes, ensuring accessibility for emergency and essential services at all times.

The DC said that instructions have been issued for the immediate restoration and maintenance of electricity and water supply, particularly in residential areas and healthcare facilities. He said that  men are actively at work to restore electricity. Efforts are ongoing, and electricity is expected to be restored soon.

The DC conveyed that men and machinery have been kept in ready deployment, with snow clearance machines operating on a priority basis at critical and vulnerable locations.
