One Day Exposure Tour under ATMA Flagged Off by ADC Kupwara
KUPWARA, DECEMBER 23: The Department of Sheep Husbandry, Kupwara, today organised a One-Day Exposure Tour under the Agricultural Technology Management Agency (ATMA) to enhance the technical knowledge and skills of sheep farmers of the district.
The exposure tour was flagged off by Additional Deputy Commissioner (ADC) Kupwara, Gulzar Ahmad Khan in presence of District Sheep Husbandry Officer (DSHO) Kupwara, Dr. Qaiser Gani Wani, and officials.
On the occasion, the ADC highlighted the importance of exposure visits in promoting scientific sheep rearing practices and improving farmers’ livelihoods. DSHO said that the tour aims to provide farmers with hands-on exposure to modern breeding techniques, scientific flock management, disease prevention, and value addition in sheep husbandry.
During the tour, the farmers from will visit Al Gaffar Sheep Farm, Zaloora and the Sheep Breeding Farm, Pattan, where participants will interact with experts and observe best practices being adopted in sheep breeding and management.
A large number of farmers from different areas of the district are participating in the exposure tour with great enthusiasm. The participants appreciated the efforts of the District Administration and the Department of Sheep Husbandry, Kupwara, for organising the programme.
