Kupwara Police Organizes Cricket Match as Part of Police Commemoration, Police Flag Day Sports Event
Kupwara, 23rd October 2024: As part of the series of programs and activities in observance of Police Commemoration Day-2024, Police Flag Day, and Rashtriya Ekta Divas from 21st October to 31st October, a cricket match was held today at District Police Lines (DPL) Kupwara.
The match, featured a face-off between Eagle Sports and Yellow Stars, was attended by DySP DAR Kupwara along with other district police officers.The match was won Yellow Stars. At the end of the match prizes were distributed among the winners.
It is pertinent to mention that the 10-day sports event commenced with the inauguration of a Volleyball Tournament at DPL Kupwara on 21st October and will continue until 31st October, marking the culmination of the Police Flag Day. These events are organized to honour the sacrifices of police martyrs who laid down their lives in the line of duty.
The initiative provides a platform for community participation, promoting the spirit of togetherness and remembering the contributions of fallen heroes.
