12 Injured in Handwara Road Accident

KUPWARA, June 19: 12 people were injured when two vehicles collided in Batpora village of Qalamabad, Handwara on Wednesday.

According to eyewitnesses, the collision occurred between two vehicles traveling in opposite directions, resulting in injuries to 12 individuals.

Following the incident, all injured persons were initially taken to NTPHC Qalamabad and later transferred to Associated Hospital GMC Handwara for specialized treatment.

Dr. Aijaz, Deputy Medical Superintendent of Associated Hospital GMC Handwara, confirmed that all the injured are stable, with one person transferred to a hospital in Srinagar for advanced treatment.

Some of the injured have been identified as Ghulam Nabi Sheikh from Mawar Payeen, Samen Shafi War from Lach, Mohammad Meskeen from Nowgam, Abdul Rashid Tantaray from Hangha, Umi Aiman from Nowgam, Rubeena Begum from Nowgam, Mesra Begum from Nowgam, Mohammad Akbar Sheikh from Nowgam, Ulfat from Nowgam, and Aima from Nowgam.(KNS).
