Baramulla, July 22: The District Administration Baramulla today organized a heartfelt farewell ceremony in honor of Naveed Ajaz, outgoing Chief Executive Officer, Municipal Council (MC) Baramulla, following his transfer to Ganderbal. The event was held in recognition of his dedicated service and notable contributions to the urban development of Baramulla town.
Deputy Commissioner (DC) Baramulla, Minga Sherpa presided over the function, which witnessed the participation of the District Information Officer (DIO), Iftakhar Naseem, officials from Information and other departments, and other dignitaries. The event was marked by warmth, appreciation, and emotional reflections.
The ceremony featured captivating cultural performances by local artists, celebrating the district’s cultural richness and adding a vibrant touch to the occasion.
Speaking on the occasion, the Deputy Commissioner praised Naveed Ajaz for his commendable service during his tenure , highlighting his administrative efficiency, integrity, and commitment to public welfare. He acknowledged Naveed Ajaz’s pivotal role in improving municipal services, infrastructure, and overall civic management in Baramulla.
As a token of appreciation, the DC presented a memento to Naveed Ajaz on behalf of the District Administration.
The DIO Baramulla and other officers also extended their best wishes to the outgoing officer, lauding his professionalism, dedication, and positive working relationships across departments.
In his address,Naveed Ajaz expressed heartfelt gratitude to the District Administration, colleagues, and staff members of Information office for their support and cooperation throughout his tenure. He shared fond memories of his time in Baramulla and conveyed his best wishes to the entire team.
