Blood Donation Camp Organised at Court Complex Handwara

Handwara, April 09: A blood donation camp was successfully organised today at the Court Complex Handwara by the Bar Association Handwara in collaboration with Government Medical College (GMC) Handwara. The initiative was conducted with the noble aim of promoting voluntary blood donation and raising awareness about its life-saving importance.
The event witnessed enthusiastic participation from members of the legal fraternity, staff, and the general public, who came forward in large numbers to donate blood and contribute towards this humanitarian cause.
The camp was graced by Chief Guest Dr. Aijaz Ahmad, Medical Superintendent of Government Medical College Handwara, who appreciated the efforts of the organisers and highlighted the critical need for regular blood donation. He emphasized that a single unit of blood can save multiple lives and encouraged people, especially the youth, to actively participate in such initiatives.
Speaking on the occasion, representatives of the Bar Association Handwara stated that such programmes reflect a collective commitment towards society and aim to strengthen the spirit of service and compassion. They also expressed gratitude to the medical team from GMC Handwara for their professional support and smooth conduct of the camp.
A dedicated team from the Department of Transfusion Medicine and Blood Centre, GMC Handwara, ensured proper screening, hygiene, and safe collection of blood units. All necessary medical protocols were strictly followed to ensure donor safety.
