Tennis Ball Cricket Championship 2024 Concludes at Kupwara Stadium
Kupwara, October 10: The two-days District Kupwara Tennis Ball Cricket Championship 2024 successfully concluded today at the scenic Kupwara Stadium Galizoo. The event saw enthusiastic participation from around 16 teams across various age categories, showcasing the region’s young cricketing talent.
The championship was graced by Zahoor Ahmad, Manager of Indoor Hall Handwara, who served as the Chief Guest. In his address, Zahoor Ahmad praised the organizers for promoting sports at the grassroots level and encouraged the players to keep honing their skills and aim for higher levels of competition.
Mudasir Ahmad, Coach at the Khelo India Volleyball Center, was the Guest of Honour. He commended the players for their sportsmanship and dedication to tennis ball cricket, an increasingly popular sport in the district.
Neelofar Sadiq, Secretary General of the Tennis Ball Cricket Association Kupwara, and Aadil Manzoor, a renowned international athlete, were also present, adding prestige to the event. Neelofar Sadiq emphasized the importance of youth engagement in sports to foster discipline and teamwork, while Mr. Aadil Manzoor inspired the young athletes with his words on perseverance and commitment to excellence.
