Peoples cooperation must for peace and prosperity: Division Commissioner
Srinagar, Jan 24: While lauding the role of police and other forces personnel in contributing to the positive narrative of unity and development, Divisional Commissioner Kashmir Vijay Kumar Bhiduri Wednesday said that peoples cooperation is imperative in establishing peace and progress i Kashmir Valley.
The Divisional Commissioner Kashmir was talking to reporters on the sidelines of a full dress rehearsal at Bakshi Stadium Srinagar ahead of the R-Day function.
He said a lot in Kashmir has changed and people have been playing an important role in peace and prosperity of the region.
Bhiduri added that great tourist footfall, holding of the G-20 event, Amarnath Yatra, and Muharram Processions in high spirits showed the essence of “Kashmiriyat” for which Kashmir is known.
Vijay Kumar Bhiduri appealed to the people to keep on cooperating with the government for better and sustained results. [KNT]
