Kupwara Police Organizes Workshop on Investigation of UAPA and NDPS Cases
Kupwara, December 3, 2024: A one-day workshop on the investigation of criminal cases, with a particular focus on UAPA and NDPS Act cases, was held today at the Conference Hall, District Police Hqrs. Kupwara.
The workshop was aimed at enhancing the investigative skills and procedural knowledge of police officers handling these complex cases.
The training program was conducted under the guidance of Sh. Ghulam Jeelani-JKPS, SSP Kupwara. The workshop was attended by all Gazetted Officers,SHOs, and ICPPs of Kupwara district.
Sh. Mohsin Hassan Khan, Assistant Public Prosecutor (APP) NIA/Fast Track, delivered an insightful lecture on the critical aspects and intricacies of investigating UAPA and NDPS cases. He emphasized the importance of meticulous evidence collection, legal compliance, and procedural accuracy to ensure successful prosecution in these cases.
Speaking on the occasion, SSP Kupwara highlighted the significance of continuous training and capacity-building initiatives for police officers to deal with the challenges posed by these specialized laws. He encouraged participants to adopt a proactive approach in investigations and adhere strictly to legal protocols.
