Kupwara: Peoples Conference incumbent Chairperson Sajjad Gani Lone led from the front to congratulate the newly elected body of young journalists in Kupwara under the banner ‘Young Journalists Association Kupwara’.
In a statement issued here, Sajjad Gani Lone expressed hope that under the newly elected team, our media fraternity of Kupwara would work for upholding the legacy of highest standards of professionalism.
“No society can think of harvesting the fruits of democracy without securing its journalist fraternity all the required freedom and dignity. However it is imperative for journalists’ fraternity to uphold the dignity associated with the profession at any cost”, reads the statement.
While extending best wishes to the President Ulfat Hussain Malik, Vice President Murtaza Mushtaq, Chairman Wasim Majnoon Mir and rest of the team Lone impressed that the newly elected body will work for the welfare of the general public and will raise public issues by upholding ethics of professional journalism.
Meanwhile PDP stalwart Sofi Irfan, AAP leader GM Bedar, Social activist & Sarpanch Haril Rayees Ahmad Mir, Chairman JKTF Mohammad Amin Khan, District President Teachers Forum Kupwara Mehraj Din Zargar, Zonal President Teachers’ Forum Zone Mawer Master Nazir Ahmad Bhat, DDC Member Mawer Khurshid Ahmad Dar, MS DH Handwara Nissar Ahmad Wani and Socio political activist Ab Ahad Qureshi also congratulated the newly elected body and wished them all the best for the times ahead.
