Former BDC Mawer Thanks Community, Administration, Civil Society and Leaders After Daughter’s Demise
Er Rashid’s continuous support from jail helped during daughter’s illness: Mir
Langate July 31: Former Block Development Council (BDC) member of Mawer, Tahir Ahmad Mir, has expressed heartfelt gratitude to all those who stood by him and his family during the prolonged illness and subsequent demise of his daughter.
In a message issued on Friday, Mir said he remains deeply thankful to every section of society, the district administration, the police department, religious heads, political leaders, Civil Society, Trade Union leaders, Relatives and Friends for their unwavering support during this difficult period.
He particularly thanked Awami Ittehad Party (AIP) patron and Member of Parliament from Baramulla, Engineer Rashid, MLA Langate Sheikh Khursheed, and Kashmir Writers Association patron Dr. Fida Firdous President Kashmir Writers Accosation for their continuous assistance.
Mir stated that Engineer Rashid remained in constant touch with him even from jail and closely monitored his daughter’s treatment, which continued for several months in Delhi and Srinagar. “I am personally very thankful to MP Baramulla Engineer Rashid,” he said.
He further acknowledged the support extended by friends and relatives, and specially mentioned Dr Fida Firdous President kashmir writers association and a well known writer and social activist from langate for extending all possible help during the treatment. Mir also thanked all those who visited his residence and stood with the family in their hour of grief.
The solidarity shown by the Community, Friend, Relatives and Party colleagues, Mir said, gave strength to the family during the tough phase.
