Drug Peddler Apprehended with Narcotics in Drugmulla; FIR Registered
Kupwara, 25 April: Continuing its drive against drug menace, the Drugmulla Police Post today established a routine naka (checkpoint) at B.Ed College Crossing, Drugmulla. During checking, the naka party apprehended one individual found in possession of narcotics.
According to the statement, the accused has been identified as Asif Ahmad Teli s/o Bashir Ahmad Teli Address Drugmulla
Upon his search a substantial amount of brown sugar-like substance suspected to be heroin was recovered from his possession.
In this regard, a case has been registered under FIR No. 123/2025 under Sections 8/21 of the NDPS Act at Police Station Kupwara. Investigation into the matter has been taken up to trace the source and wider network, if any, involved in the illegal trade.
Kupwara Police remains committed to its zero-tolerance policy against drug trafficking.
