Bandipora Shines with Health and Legal Awareness on World Health Day 2025
Bandipora, April 7: In a powerful showcase of collaboration between healthcare and legal institutions, District Hospital Bandipora, in partnership with the District Legal Services Authority (DLSA) Bandipora, marked World Health Day with an impactful event centered on health awareness, legal empowerment, and climate change.
The event was inaugurated by Hon’ble Khaleel Ahmad Chaudhary, Chairman DLSA and Principal District & Sessions Judge Bandipora at Auditorium, Bandipora.
With a warm Welcome Note by Dr. Tahira, District Health Officer, who set the tone by emphasizing the vital role of community engagement in creating a healthier society.
Dr. Masarat Iqbal Wani, Medical Superintendent of District Hospital Bandipora, took the stage next to enlighten the audience about Government healthcare schemes and awareness programs, urging people to take full advantage of these life-improving services.
Focusing on preventive health, Dr. Asif Iqbal, Medical Officer, spoke passionately about the importance of proactive healthcare, advocating for regular checkups and healthy lifestyle choices.
Adding a crucial legal perspective, Advocate Amir Shafi delved into the Legal Aspects of Health, educating attendees on their healthcare rights and the legal frameworks designed to protect them.
In one of the most thought-provoking sessions, Dr. Mariya Ramzan, Epidemiologist – NCD, explored the pressing issue of climate change and its impact on public health, highlighting the urgent need for sustainable practices and public health preparedness.
