Police facilitates PCPG meeting in Sopore
Sopore, March 01: As a part of public outreach programme, Police in Sopore organised a Police Community Partnership Group (PCPG) meeting at Rafiabad.
The meeting was chaired by SP Sopore Smt Divya D-IPS accompanied by DySP DAR Sopore and Incharge SDPO Rafiabad, LO PC Rafiabad and IC PP Watergam.
The meeting was attended by Numberdars, Chowkidars, Representatives of Transport Associations/ Traders Federation, Respectables & Civil society members of concerned area including members of Auqaf Committees.
On the occasion participants highlighted various issues of public importance. During the course of interaction, co-operation of general public in eradication of drug abuse, social crimes, etc, were sought. Participants were urged to co-operate with Police in curbing the drug menace and in identifying anti-national and anti-social elements who always trying to disrupt the peaceful environment.
Participants appreciated the role of Police for conduction of such interaction meetings and assured their full support in curbing the menace of social evils of the society.
