JKPCC Holds Massive Protest in Jammu Against Modi Government’s “Political Vendetta”
Jammu April 16: The Jammu and Kashmir Pradesh Congress Committee (JKPCC) President, Shri Tariq Hameed Karra, along with All India Congress Committee (AICC) General Secretary Shri Ghulam Ahmad Mir, senior party leaders, and hundreds of party workers staged a vociferous protest in Jammu today.
Raising slogans against what they termed as the Modi government’s “political vendetta” and authoritarian style of functioning, the Congress leaders accused the central government of targeting opposition voices and misusing central agencies to suppress dissent.
“This dictatorship will not be tolerated. The Congress party will not be silenced,” thundered Karra while addressing the gathering. Echoing his sentiments, Ghulam Ahmad Mir said, “Democratic values are under attack, and every voice that dares to question the government is being targeted. We are here to tell the people that the Congress will continue to fight to preserve democracy and the Constitution.”
The protest march saw large participation from Congress workers carrying banners, placards, and shouting slogans demanding an end to what they called “vendetta politics.”
The leaders also criticized the BJP-led Centre for its alleged failure on key issues including unemployment, inflation, and the deteriorating law and order situation in Jammu and Kashmir.
The demonstration concluded peacefully, with the leaders reiterating their commitment to continue the struggle for justice, democracy, and people’s rights.(PTK)
