The occasion was graced by the presence of the Sub-Divisional Magistrate (SDM) Tangdar, BMO Tangdar, local dignitaries, and respected community personalities, marking a new era of accessible healthcare in this hard-to-reach region.

The newly inaugurated Dialysis Unit is a vital addition to the healthcare infrastructure of Tangdar, an area where patients previously had to travel long and difficult routes across mountainous terrains to avail dialysis facilities. This initiative reflects the government’s commitment to ensuring that quality healthcare reaches the doorsteps of those living in remote and underserved communities.

Speaking at the event, the CMO Kupwara emphasized the importance of bringing specialized medical services to border areas. He stated that this Dialysis Unit will not only save time and money for patients and their families but will also save lives by providing immediate care to those suffering from chronic kidney ailments.

The SDM Tangdar, while congratulating the health department for this achievement, acknowledged the tireless efforts of the local administration and medical staff. He underlined that such initiatives will strengthen the trust of the people in public healthcare systems and reduce the burden of traveling to distant hospitals.

Local community leaders and elders present on the occasion expressed heartfelt gratitude, calling the inauguration a “dream fulfilled” for the people of Karnah. They highlighted that access to dialysis was a long-pending demand, and with this facility now available, patients will experience a sense of relief.

The event concluded with a note of optimism, as doctors and paramedics pledged their dedication to operating the unit with utmost care and efficiency. The Dialysis Unit at SDH Tangdar thus stands as a symbol of hope, resilience, and the government’s unwavering resolve to serve every citizen, even in the remotest corners of the district.
