High Alert In Rajouri As Security Forces Launch Search Operation Following Firing Incident

Rajouri, April 23: Tensions are high in Rajouri following a recent shooting incident, prompting security forces to initiate a search operation in the area.

After an unidentified assailant fatally shot a man on Monday evening, authorities have heightened security measures, particularly in Kunda village within the Shahdara Sharief area of Rajouri’s Thanna Mandi tehsil.

The incident occurred at Kunda Top in Jammu and Kashmir’s Rajouri region, leaving local residents on edge and prompting swift action from law enforcement.

In a separate development on Sunday, Jammu and Kashmir Police, in collaboration with the Special Operations Group (SOG), apprehended a registered overground worker (OGW), who also serves as a school headmaster. The arrest was made in the Hari Budha area of Poonch district, where authorities confiscated a foreign-made pistol and Chinese grenades.
