Engineer Rashid Vows To Fight Modi’s ‘Naya Kashmir’ Narrative After Release From Tihar Jail
Baramulla MP, Engineer Rashid, has vowed to fight against Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s ‘Naya Kashmir’ narrative after being released from Tihar Jail on interim bail. Rashid, a vocal critic of the BJP-led government, declared, “I will not let down my people. I take a pledge to fight Modi’s narrative, which has totally failed in Jammu & Kashmir. People have rejected whatever he did on 5th August 2019.”
Rashid, who has long been outspoken against the revocation of Jammu and Kashmir’s special status, expressed his resolve to continue fighting for the welfare of his people. He contrasted his struggle with those of regional leaders Omar Abdullah and Mehbooba Mufti, stating, “Omar’s fight is for the chair, my fight is for the people.”
Rejecting claims of his association with the BJP, Rashid said, “How do you say I am with the BJP? I will fight Modi’s policies till my last breath because he has let down the people of Jammu and Kashmir.”
As he prepares to return to Kashmir, Rashid reaffirmed his commitment to uniting his people rather than dividing them, emphasizing that his fight is one of justice, not personal gain.
