District Kupwara Athletic Championship 2023-24: A Grand Success Showcasing Athletic Prowess
Kupwara, Jan 23: The District Kupwara Athletic Association, in collaboration with the J&K Amateur Athletic Association, successfully organized the much-anticipated District Kupwara Athletic Championship 2023-24. Sponsored by the J&K Sports Council and powered by Growth Sports Academy J&K, the event unfolded at the prestigious Galizoo Stadium in Kupwara from January 21 to 22, 2024.
This athletic extravaganza witnessed an overwhelming participation of 130 athletes across District Kupwara, showcasing their talent and determination in a variety of events. Athletes competed fiercely in categories such as 60 meters, 100 meters, 200 meters, 1500 meters, 3000 meters, Javelin Throw, Shot Put, Discus Throw, and more.
The closing ceremony, held on January 22, was graced by the presence of Mr. Naveed Aijaz, CEO of the Municipal Committee, who distributed trophies to the triumphant athletes. The event was further adorned by esteemed guests, including Ms. Kehkashan, Mr. Aadil Manzoor Peer (International Athlete), Zubair Ahmad Sofi, and Navaid Nabi (National Athletes).Also The General Secretary (Mr Shahid Rahid Rather)
