World Unani Day observed at Kupwara; DC stressed for launching awareness campaign in farflung areas
KUPWARA, FEBRUARY 11 : Deputy Commissioner Kupwara today stressed the need for further elevation and expansion of Unani and Ayush treatment in district Kupwara so that more and more people could get treatment facilities.
The Deputy Commissioner was addressing an impressive function held here today. The function was organised by Ayush Kupwara to observe world Unani Day.
The Deputy Commissioner said that the objective of observing the World Unani Day is to generate awareness among the people and other stakeholders so that more people could be benefited.
He asked the Ayush medical officers to initiate a public awareness campaign in the district, especially in far flung and hilly areas of the district so that these people could get benefitted from the Ayush treatment.
On the occasion, District Ayush Officer highlighted the achievements and role of the department through a power point presentation.
Chief Medical Officer and Chief Education Officer also spoke on the occasion .
Later the Deputy Commissioner distributed the Certificate of Appreciation among the health workers who worked tirelessly during the Covid-19 pandemic.
The function was attended by various doctors and medical officers of Ayush and Health department Kupwara.
