National Voters day was organised by Nowgam Bridge
Handwara January 25: National Voters Day is celebrated in India on 25 January to mark the foundation day of the Election Commission of India, the autonomous constitutional authority responsible for conducting elections.
On occasion of the same, Indian Army in association with elected representatives of village organised an awareness campaign in Mawer Valley.
Eligible Voters of the region were made aware of the rights and responsibility towards the nation. Voting Awareness posters were also put in schools to target the minds of future voters of the country.
The drive will help reinforce the importance of voting, which is the bedrock of our democracy.
