Kupwara, Dec 11: The tug of war between sumo owners and administration left people of border town karnah into trouble.
On 8th of this month ARTO Kupwara issued passenger fare rates for the area which the owner of vehicles refused to obey and stopped plying vehicle on the roads as mark of protest against authorities.
Sumo owners and drivers demanding increase in fares on the other hand administration asking to comply the fare list which issued earlier by the ARTO Kupwara, the drivers stopped plying vehicle on road since the fare list issued, the developing selfishness of drivers and helplessness of authorities has generated anxiety among the people, who are not nonetheless worried over the fare hike and low, they worried because patients cannot reach to hospital, employees unable to reach office at time, people appealed authorities to resolve issue as soon as possible So that the people do not have to face more difficulties.(KNS)
