Kulgam Police observed ‘COMMEMORATION DAY’ in Remembrance of Martyred Policemen

Kulgam, 21 Oct: In a solemn ceremony, District Police Kulgam observed Commemoration Day in DPL Kulgam and paid homage to Martyrs.

To remember the brave Policemen who sacrificed their lives while discharging their duties, to pay honor and respect to the Martyrs and commemorate their sacrifices, Police Commemoration Parade was conducted and rich tributes were paid to the departed souls who sacrificed their precious lives in the service of Nation .

SSP Kulgam Dr.G.V. Sundeep Chakravarty-IPS along with Addl. SP NHW, DySP HQRS Kulgam, DySP DAR Kulgam, other officers/officials of Kulgam police, families of Martyrs paid their homage by placing floral wreaths at the Martyrs Monument in DPL Kulgam.

Speaking on the occasion, SSP Kulgam after mentioning all the names of Martyred Police personnel, applauded their memorable role. He further said that today we salute our Martyrs for their determination, courage and spirit of sacrifice . He further said that “we salute all our selfless and courageous colleagues who laid down their lives in the line of duty”.

During interaction with NOKs of Martyrs, SSP Kulgam heard their grievances, consoled and assured them that District Administration and J&K Police stands by the family and will extend all possible help and support to the families as and when required.

Later SSP Kulgam along with officers distributed gifts as a token of love to the families of Martyrs..

On the occasion, Kulgam Police in collaboration with District Hospital Kulgam organized a one day Blood Donation Camp to save the lives of the poor and needy at crucial juncture.
