Srinagar, May 25: Senior Hurriyat leader and Chairman of Kashmir Peoples Party, Dr. G M Hubi Saturday congratulated people of India for conclusion of parliamentary elections 2019, without any bloodshed.

Dr Hubi as per a statement issued to KNS urged India and Pakistan to come close and settle their long pending disputes including the Kashmir dispute as “both countries have made our dividing line as battle field, on both sides our people are suffering, our peasants and school going children are being displaced.”

He said tons of iron and explosive is being pumped into mountains of both sides of LOC. “None has taking care of our sufferings till date, the time has come again for India and Pakistan as both countries at present are represented by popular elected governments,” he said.

At present Pakistan Prime Minister Imran Khan has already shown will to come close for peace between both the countries, which can be gathered from recent closure of offices of militant organizations which was the basic concern of India, he said, adding that time has once again provided an opportunity to prime minister of Pakistan to show statesmanship, by coming to India for participation in oath ceremony of landslide victory of Modi.

It will not only convey a message to peace loving people across globe but will also add one more feather in his statesmanship, he added. Dr Hubi also said that Modi during election campaign has not used Kashmir card for getting votes, but has said in a recent interview that Kashmir is a problem and late Vajpayee’s vision is a way to redress it.
