Ganderbal Police arrests 3 gamblers, stake money seized

Ganderbal January 04: Acting tough against social crimes, Ganderbal Police have arrested 3 gamblers from a gambling site and seized ?8,950/- stake money.

A police party from Police Station Lar under the supervision of Dysp Hqr Shri Dr. Abdul Majid Magray-JKPS raided a gambling site at Check Yangoora following an input about gambling activities and apprehended three gamblers. They have been identified as Abdul Rashid Pandith resident of Kulpora Safapora, Manzoor Ahmed Bhat resident of Treesa Safapora and Abdul Rashid Mir resident of Bonapora Baroosa Ganderbal.

Officers have seized stake money of ?8,950/- from the gamblers. They have been shifted to Police Station Lar where they remain in custody.

Accordingly, a case FIR No. 01/2021 under relevant sections of law has been registered in Police Station Lar and investigation has been initiated.

Persons found indulging in criminal activities shall be dealt as per law. Community members are requested to share information regarding the crimes in their neighbourhood with the local police units.(KNS)
