DIC Kupwara without General Manager discourages aspiring entrepreneurs; depute Full-Time GM: Entrepreneurs
Kupwara, March 28: Residents of Various villages of border district Kupwara said that they are facing huge problems at the Directorate Industries Commerce (DIC) Kupwara office as there is no General Manager available in the office from the last One Year.
The main objective of the District Industries Centre(DIC) is to promote and facilitate the growth of Micro, Small & Medium enterprises as well as Handicraft & Cottage industries.
Sources said that the work in the office has been halted due to non availability of the General Manager in the office and added GM Baramulla has been given additional charges in the office who is not able to perform additional responsibility due to his own official engagements and have additional more charges.
The aspiring entrepreneurs have appealed to the authorities to depute the Full-time General manager to the office for smooth functioning of this important office and added that even we have to wait more than 40 days for issue of a simple letter.
Pertain to mention here that in the month of January Jammu and Kashmir Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha announced a ₹28,400-crore “Industrial Development Package-2021”, aimed at creating 4.5 lakh jobs and attracting ₹20,000 crore investments in the Union Territory (UT) but the aspiring entrepreneurs from North Kashmir’s District Kupwara are facing huge problem.
