Awareness programme cum rally against drug abuse under the banner of “Nasha Mukt Bharat Abhiyan” was organised by Panchayat Nowgam

Mawer, Sep 08: Panchayat Nowgam A organized an awareness programme cum rally against drug abuse under the banner of “Nasha Mukt Bharat Abhiyan” at Government High School Nowgam.

The awareness rally under the banner of “NASHA MUKHT BHARAT ABHIYAN” was organized at Nowgam under the supervision of RDD Department which started from Government High School Nowgam.

The rally was attended by Headmaster High School Nowgam G H Mir with staff and students, Employees of Health Department of NTPHC Nowgam, members of civil society, students, youth and respectable of the area.

On the occasion, a program was also conducted at Govt. High School Nowgam. At the very outset Sarpanch Nowgam Dr Nayeem u Rehman gave motivational speech towards competitive exams and stressed upon the students to channelize their potential and energy in a positive way. He also urged parents to closely monitor their wards in choosing different career avenues. He also sought the cooperation of people in eradicating the social evils prevailing in the society, particularly menace of drugs.

Headmaster High School Nowgam G H Mir highlighted the role of parents and said that parents have a greater responsibility in social development of a child as they act as the first teachers and guides of their wards. He also spoke about preventive measures and the role of a teacher in the prevention of drug addiction.
