ADC Kupwara Flags off fish farmers for tour
KUPWARA, JANUARY 19: Additional Deputy Commissioner (ADC), Kupwara, Nazir Ahmad Lone today flagged off a group of 25 private fish farmers for training cum exposure visit here at D.C. Office. Assistant Director Fisheries, Sajad Ahmad was also present on the occasion.
The farmers will visit to National Fisheries Farm (NFF) Mansbal to get training and exposure which will help them to promote growth of their fish farms.
On the occasion, the ADC said that the tour shall prove instrumental in helping the fish farmers to grow their production at commercial level, which will boost their income.
The AD Fisheries said that the department is committed towards maximizing the farmers welfare through various schemes and the training programme is meant to guide the farmers for growing their farms on scientific lines thereby improving their standard of living.
Meanwhile, the farmers expressed their satisfaction over the initiative of the department and hoped that the department will continue to take such initiatives for growth of the fish sector in the district.
