35 Candidates withdraw nominations for phase-III at Kupwara
Kupwara November 22: According to District Panchayat Election Officer (DPEO), Kupwara, Anshul Garg, 35 candidates have withdrawn their nominations till November 21(last date for withdrawal of candidature) and 423 candidates are in fray for phase-III of ensuing District Development Council (DDC) and Panchayat by-election in the district.
Those who withdrew candidature include, 07 DDC candidates viz. 06 in Hyhama and 01 in Qaziabad, thereby remaining 42 candidates in fray in these 2 DDC constituencies.
Similarly, 06 Sarpanch and 22 Panch candidates have also withdrawn their nomination forms. Thus, 27 Sarpanch and 354 Panch candidates are in fray in these 02 constituencies.
