DC Kupwara finalizes arrangements for I-Day celebration, Directed officers to follow directions in letter and spirit

KUPWARA, AUGUST 3 : The Deputy Commissioner (DC) Kupwara, Imam Din, today convened a meeting of concerned officers to finalize the arrangements being put in place by different departments for smooth celebrations of Independence Day in Kupwara district.

The Additional SP Kupwara, Raja Zuhaib, Joint Director, planing, Abdul Majeed, Assistant Commissioners, CEO, D I O, YSSO, Officers of the Administration attended the meeting.

The meeting discussed threadbare various issues with regard to arrangements for smooth conduct of the National Day and officers briefed the Deputy Commissioner about the arrangements being done by them.

 

The Deputy Commissioner asked officers to follow the directions issued by Advisor, Baseer Ahmad Khan and Chief Secretary.

The DC directed concerned officers to ensure establishment of play fields, youth clubs, plantation committees at every Panchayat of the district. He also directed for establishment of BDCs office at every block and proper utilization of every Government building.

The officers were also given other direction including displaying of hoardings at prominent places.
He also directed them to ensure inauguration or laying of foundation stone ceremony at every panchayat on the eve of Independence Day.

The DC also stressed upon the officers to follow the directions in letter and spirit and submit action taken report within 2 days.

On the occasion, the Deputy Commissioner impressed upon all officers to work with more zeal and dedication to make the event a grand success in the district.

The DC gave a strict direction for compliance of COVID SOPs .

It was also informed that the celebration of Independence Day shall also be held at Sub-Divisional Levels, and in this regard Addl. Deputy Commissioner, Handwara and SDM Lolab/Karnah have already convened meetings with local Administration and passed on directions for celebration of the event at their respective headquarters .
